488Shoping online verses Traditional Shopping
One thing is certain and thats the way people shop. Traditionally
peopleshopped at little corner stores. Year’s age it was the mercantile
store, which was in many, cases the center of town. People from out side out
town would make trips probably once a week to get supplies for the week of
in many cases for the winter. People that lived in the outback brought
winter supplies. In our own generation we all remember going as kids to the
local corner store.
Attimes our parents sent us to pick up things such as eggs and milk when the
house whole ran short of these things. Now you can buy groceries on the net
with the click of a mouse. O how have things changes. We remember the local
merchant in town. He was the one that had all of the buying power. You
bought your products from him or you didn’t buy them anywhere. He was the
only game in town. In many cases he owned you in a sense because much of the
time people borrowed the products and charged them in advance. Them the
payment was made at the end of fishing or harvest season. His prices was nor
negotiable. And people had to buy at his prices.
Today things are quite different and wee can thank the modern advanced of
technology for that. We can say that we like the old days but in reality I
don’t think many of us would when to go back to the ways of the past. Today
the power is in the hands of the consumer.
